Founded in 1990, the CAA is a non-profit organization established to provide research and analysis to the United States Government, media, and public. The CAA was the first, and is the only, registered Croatian American lobbying organization in the United States . As one of this country's most successful communities, 2.5 million Croatian Americans represent Croatia's most powerful political and economic resource outside of Zagreb. The CAA serves as Croatian voice in the nation's capital, promoting closer ties between the United States and the Republic of Croatia and defends Croatia's political and territorial integrity within the context of US foreign policy. Over the past four years, the CAA has developed an extensive of contacts within the United States Congress , the White House, and the U.S. Department of State Using community sources, as well as government and "in field" contacts in Croatia and Bosnia, the CAA provides up-to-date, reliable information to U.S. policymakers and mobilizes Croatian Americans in response to legislative initiatives. |
